I try to focus on humility, so writing about myself never comes easy, yet the educational stats are always comforting to know.
~In 1998, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, minoring in Chemistry.
~In 2002, I graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry at the number 2 ranking in my class.
I received numerous awards throughout my dental school career:
~Hinman Student Research Award
~Dr. Stanley Tylman Award
~Dr. Ted Rosen Memorial Award
~Arm and Hammer Dental Care Award
~Pre-doctoral Achievement Award from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Prosthodontics, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and American Equilibration Society
In 2002 I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society.
~I attended 1 year of a prosthodontic residency after dental school at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry.
Post residency my husband and I decided to pursue our dreams of skiing, hiking and adventure, so we moved to the mountains of Colorado, where I practiced for 10 years. Yet in 2013 we decided to come home to raise our 2 young boys near our family. So in September 2013 I purchased the practice of the late, Dr. Laszlo Vida in Wheaton, Illinois.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Wheaton Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
I also stay current in my continued education through many venues, including; The Spear Center and The Seattle Study Club.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and boys, whether its having fun, traveling or volunteering at school. I love to tackle home improvement and decorating projects and I am developing a great appreciation for gardening. My ever growing passion is following a healthy lifestyle, involving cooking, eating clean and exercise.
